Insight: By spending time on the production line to learn the manufacturing techniques, I was able to modify the manufacturing process to improve postural support by creating a continuous sweep of foam (reducing three sections to one section).
Insight: Understanding the flame retardancy regulatory requirements, I was able to test and improve inhouse, reducing development time and making a safer product.
Challenge: Create a superior product to a tight schedule, project budget and product BOM cost.
Solution: Incorporating innovative manufacturing methods and thermal regulating gel and performing rigorous pressure mapping and safety testing we delivered a demonstrably improved solution.
